The tier one data center is located in the well-known Infomart Telecom Hotel near downtown Dallas which is home to multiple data centers including DataSides, Equinix, Level 3, MCI, Switch & Data, Verio, Verizon and more.
With room for thousands of dedicated servers, SoftLayer's N+1 data center offers complete redundancy in fire suppression, HVAC, network connectivity, power and security, and it incorporates the following infrastructure:

The Infomart Telecom Hotel sits atop three redundant electrical grids from TXU which deliver diverse power to each quadrant of the building. HVAC needs are supplied via five 100-ton on-site water chillers which deliver N+1 cooling requirements. Home to over twelve switch sites and thirty-five different carriers, Infomart houses technology and telecom-related businesses in a complex communications ecosystem.
